Inauguration ceremony of DOCC, the first personal car assembled in Ethiopia. Wednesday October 18, 2006
Hilton - Addis Ababa.
The car was assembled by Holland Car PLc, a joint venture partnership between Trento, a car assembling tools manufacturer in the Netherlands and Ethio-Holland Transport, a company engaged in the importation of second-hand cars and rental of construction equipment in Ethiopia.
Shareholders of the Holland Car PLc Taddesse Tessema and Wim Guns launched the project in July 2005 at Mojjo, 70-kms South East of Addis Ababa, at a cost of 20 million birr.
At the inauguration ceremony at the Addis Ababa Hilton, the Netherlands Ambassador Alphons Hennekens disclosed a 510,000 euro grant to the company by his government.
